Public benefits

The public benefits that flows from the purpose of BCRG are: (a) an enhanced quality of life and sense of well-being for all individuals living in and accessing the services of Ballyduff. This will be achieved via a centre and non centre based provisions which included engagement with and participation in activities and events that bring people

together, leading to improvements in physical and emotional well-being, quality of life and a more stable and cohesive community. Examples of this are youth provisions, supports of mother and toddler groups, health and wellbeing support as well as a range of covid recovery and empowerment programmes around health, wellbeing and identity . BCRG (b) will increase opportunities to engage in new activities that bring people together, leading to greater social cohesion and fulfilment, through community lead engagements such as arts and crafts, bingo, informed programmes as well as welfare supports. . BCRG will enhanced active citizenship and involvement in community life, via active engagement with voluntary and statutory providers to increase provisions in Ballyduff areas . The direct benefit that flows from purpose of Ballyduff is to the increased efficiency and effectiveness of the community and voluntary groups and organisations that use the facilities that are provided by and in partnership with BCRG. From this there will be an , enhanced outcomes and service delivery and, improvement in the life of young people, families and all generations/ residents in the and improved quality of life for those who benefit from the work of these groups and organisations. [How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated?] Funded programmes, youth services, support groups, advocacy and right - food bank summer schemes volunteer supports and training. capacity building for community resources . single identify work . dissabiltiy support. fund community events covid recovery . mental health support recreational activities As a grass roots organisation, based in Ballyduff locality with a board of supporters we serve our own community and respond to emerging needs as identified by the community. No we do not see any harm arising from the purposes. We work on responding to these community needs in the ongoing work and partnerships with Statutory bodies such as the PSNI, NIHE, Local council and Councillors and the Bryson Group. We also aim to form other partnerships and work with the EA and DFI. In terms of risk we have an establish board of enthusiastic dedicated volunteers who aid us in our work and as a functioning group there is no current risk to the community This charities beneficiaries are all individuals to who live work and use the resources of Ballyduff. Those groups involved in partnerships and other agencies are better able to meet the needs of communities by liaising with ourselves and so more able to use resources for maximum benefit [Is there any private benefit flowing from any of the purposes? Is it incidental and necessary?] These purposes allow opportunities for volunteers to develop skills and service for community . Volunteers will also benefit from training that enables effective implementation of the public benefit . Longer term the needs of the community or public benefit will require facilitator and staff the requirements for staff longer term would be a benefit to the charity.

What your organisation does

BCRG supports the well being of residents in the wider Ballyduff area. it provides directly or sources workshops, clubs, educational and recreational activities for local residents, children, senior citizens and families. The Association undertakes activities to promote community safety and community relations and community cohesion community

related training and qualifications and signposts residents in need to other local services and advice.

Charitable purposes

THE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY ARE: To further or benefit the residents of Ballyduff and surrounding areas, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organizations in a common effort to advance education, advocacy , community safety, wellbeing issues and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. Achieving these via project development and delivery as an organization or in partnership In furtherance of these objects but not otherwise, the trustees shall have power: To establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of the above objects.
