Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from our purpose of Health and well being are the improved mental well being together with physical condition of all our youth and senior members. Parents and family structures are greatly uplifted by being involved with the ongoing progress of the Club. These benefits can be demonstrated through feedback from

Community in questionaries' which were used to obtain grant funding from Rural Development, Newry Mourne & Down Council and Halifax Foundation. Our numbers have increased significantly over the last few years at youth level where we now have over 130 from 6-16 compared with 60 just 3 years ago. There are also over 50 senior players. Now with our Health and Well Being Hub almost complete the amount of differing bodies wishing to use the facilities proves the point. Ballet classes, Ladies Fitness classes Junior Rugby are to mention a few now booked in to use the facilities. There is no harm we can show from our activities only physical injuries. This we have mitigated against by taking out Gold standard insurance policy from youth groups to senior players and officials. The charities beneficiaries are all who use our facilities of 2 football pitches and a new Sports & Well being Hub. They are not all our members from youth to seniors but all teams who come to play at our facilities from Mid Ulster league, Newcastle & District Leagues and other leagues all over Northern Ireland. Locally we have other users of the facilities including nearby Schools and Mourne Stimulus Adult Care Centre together with Ballet classes and Ladies Fitness classes. The only private benefit flowing from the project is incidental with the growth in knowledge and understanding gained by Coaches and Officials from training programs and qualifications. From our Youth squad two players have moved on to two Irish League Clubs. With the new Sports & Well Being Hub now almost completed the Trustees and officials can give of there knowledge of the project to other Clubs now coming forward to view the facilities.

What your organisation does

The Club has two football pitches and one large Sports and Well Being Hub which contains 4 changing rooms a referee's room a small Gym and a large Function room with Kitchen. We have training most nights of the week for football. Our main groups are senior players over 16 to 55 with 3 senior teams comprising around 50 players. We have a youth

Development squad from age 6 to 16 with around 130 and 16 coaches. Our Hub which is nearing completion is going to be used for many differing functions including Ballet classes and Ladies fitness classes together with Birthdays parties etc. We have also plans a foot for a 3G area within the complex and will be available for all ages to take part in training and sports.
