The advancement of education - members of our community learn new skills through the classes and courses provided at the community centre, e.g. Irish dancing, art classes, IT classes 2. The advancement of health or the saving of lives - members of our community benefit from improved mental, physical and social wellbeing through participation in the many activities provided at the centre, e.g. fitness classes, yoga, mindfulness, and through social interaction at the many clubs, e.g. youth clubs, carer and toddler group, senior citizens 3. The advancement of citizenship or community development - the provision of community services by the community for the community encourages participation and continued development of the community. 4. The advancement of the arts, culture, heritage or science - LCA provide a range of arts and cultural activities, e.g. hosting of an amateur drama festival, etc 5. Lislea Community Association run Lislea Community Centre and provide services to over 300 families in the immediate area and many more beyond. There are many events that take place on a weekly basis including youth clubs, Irish dancing, yoga, fitness classes, mindfulness classes, lively ladies, art classes, luncheon club. We planned, funded and
developed a new outdoor space including a playground, fitness area, story telling area, outdoor gathering space and a community 'shed' in 2018 and are currently funded by the National Lottery to run programmes and events for our community to improve health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation of our rural community
