Public benefits
Direct benefits which flow from the purpose include the opportunity for public worship and hearing the proclamation of the Christian gospel. The latter brings salvation, the main benefit that comes when there is reconciliation between human beings and God. Public worship brings mutual encouragement, edification, spiritual development, moral
understanding and growth as people gather to focus on God and listen to the Scriptures being explained, thereby gaining an understanding of Christian belief. Two other major benefits are loving God first of all and, flowing from that, love for others. These benefits will be demonstrated in the number of people listening to the gospel shared in the public domain, whether through activities in the church building or outside; through the impact of Bible teaching resulting in people living Christianly and the demonstration of care, often practical, in the community designed to impact people and society. Help is offered those who find themselves in need, be that practical, emotional or spiritual. The effectiveness of these elements of church life is determined through informal feedback and discussion with members and friends as well as through the evidence of changed lives, increased Godliness and the difference that practical care makes in everyday life. Annual reporting from each church department also provides evidence of effectiveness. The Trustees do not envisage that the outworking of these purposes will result in harm coming to anyone. The charity's beneficiaries are church members and adherents. Members of the public also benefit and are welcome to attend the services and activities. The community benefits from pastoral services and help offered in a variety of settings. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is a stipend for the Pastor of the church, who is also one of the trustees. This is incidental and necessary to enable the church to fulfil its stated purpose.

The church holds regular services for worship, prayer, study of the Scriptures and fellowship. Other activities are organised to enable the community to benefit. All ages are catered for and there is a strong emphasis on pastoral care for members, adherents and others in the community. We support other Christian groups and charities in the
community.
