Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from the purpose of the organisation at 3.1 are increased support of beneficiaries, and reduced stress and anxiety. The direct benefits which flow from object (a) are improved mental health, and development of social skills, for beneficiaries. The direct benefits which flow from object (b) are improved awareness of
support and a sense of hope for beneficiaries. The direct benefits which flow from object (c) are a sense of purpose and source of joy for beneficiaries, as well as improved mental health. The direct benefits which flow from object (d) are improved social and reading skills, along with a sense of community for beneficiaries, and reduced stress and anxiety. These benefits can be evidenced through feedback gathered at the end of the programme, and measured against benchmarks obtained before the programme commences. Additional feedback can be obtained through regular 1-1 catch-ups with beneficiaries. No harm has been identified in the pursuit of the outlined purposes. The benefits flowing from our purposes are aimed towards adults- either male or female - in the Northern Ireland area. The beneficiaries may include, but not necessarily limited to, those formerly or currently suffering with drug/alcohol addiction, those suffering with poor mental health, or those suffering with poverty or unemployment. A private benefit flowing from the purposes is that gained by a private landlord owning the premises rented by the organisation. In teaching life skills to the beneficiaries, this may include painting, decorating, or improving the condition of the building interior/exterior. These life skills are a central part of the programme, seeking to achieve the purpose of improving the conditions of life of the beneficiaries. Therefore, this private benefit is incidental and necessary.
