Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from the purposes include: providing opportunities to engage in amateur dramatics; developing skills in and knowledge of the dramatic arts; providing opportunities for the general public to engage in the dramatic arts in their local area; increased awareness of the dramatic arts in the local area; improved mental health

and wellbeing of both participants and audience members; the promotion of social interaction across the community, by coming together to participate in or enjoy amateur dramatics; providing funding to a nominated, local charity by way of a donation made from the sale of tickets to the company's production. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from members of the group, gathered on an annual basis; feedback from audience members who have attended productions, gathered both online and by word of mouth; increasing numbers of people wanting to become members of the organisation; increasing numbers of people coming to watch the organisation's productions. A financial contribution to a local charity and information provided by that charity about what the money is spent on. This purpose does not lead to harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are the people of Ballymena and the surrounding Mid and East Antrim Borough Council area. There is some private benefit to suppliers who supply the critical equipment and consumable products that are required to achieve the purpose, for example, suppliers of set, costume and microphones. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure purpose is achieved and the benefit is provided to the beneficiaries.
