PURPOSE 1: PREVENTION OF RELIEF OF POVERTY The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include: increased educational opportunities and provision of necessary items – this purpose will be beneficial to communities in Guinea-Bissau as the ABL will be emphasising on the importance of education in the future income of children and young people,
combating child famines in schools and orphanages and providing basic clothing needs. This will be shown through the numbers of beneficiaries receiving provision of basic clothing, uniforms, numbers of school canteens set up and beneficiaries accessing them, canteens are made up of volunteers where it is necessary and empowering schools through the provision of teaching trainings, school furniture and materials. We believe that education is the best way to fight poverty because of its positive correlation with the future income of children. PURPOSE 2: ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include: establishment of schools, increased educational opportunity and achievement and provision of educational equipment - this purpose will benefit communities through improvement of educational facilities and increase in educational opportunities in Guinea-Bissau therefore, improvements of knowledge and skills amongst the children and young people as well as in the local communities. This will be shown through establishment of nurseries and primary schools where not present, the provision of school furniture, teaching materials and materials such as pens, pencils, notebooks and computers but not only but also through educational activities that will be provided by the association and by constantly assessing our progress and educational progress of beneficiaries. PURPOSE 3: ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include: improved health and improved conditions of hospitals - this purpose will benefit communities through the improvement of hospitals conditions and provision of some basic hospital equipment directly benefiting hospitalised children and young people in Guinea-Bissau as well as the whole community. This will be shown by several activities that will be carried out by the ABL such as the red nose, which will be entertaining hospitalised children and offering a medical follow-up by our volunteer doctors in the orphanages. The association will also carry out financial campaigns raising awareness in the subject of health and well-being of children and young people. Also through the amount of hospital equipment provided, feedback and constant analysis of progress. PURPOSE 4: PROMOTION OF DIVERSITY The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include: increased awareness of diversity and reduced discrimination - this purpose will benefit communities through promotion of multiculturalism, helping different communities to interact with others in the sense of greater openness and dispel the possibility of judging others before knowing them, thus promoting better coexistence between different communities. In addition, we aim to ease the integration of immigration within the local community, assisting in language barriers, documentation, job applications and providing important information regarding changes in the country. This will be shown through feedback and the number of, and numbers attending, cultural events that the association will be hosting around communities in the UK, events that aims to bridge the gap between different kinds of cultures, providing people with an understanding and knowledge of other cultures around their local community. PURPOSE 5: RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF YOUTH, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY AND FINACIAL HARDSHIP OROTHER DISADVANTAGES The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include: increased awareness of those in need, better educational opportunities and empowerment of those in need - this will be beneficial for the community as whole in Guinea-Bissau as the association bridge of love will be raising awareness around the cause of children, working with disabled children and breaking barriers through activities furthermore empowering disadvantaged children and young people. This will be shown through our campaigns to raise awareness of child labour, combating bad traditional practices and providing educational activities to empower children keeping them busy and away from child labour. The benefits flowing from the purposes can be demonstrated as above and also through statistical analysis, numbers of beneficiaries and reports. Private incidental benefits may occur from the purposes through the training of individuals we work with and also potentially through the paying of guests or professionals, such as singers, celebrities or others. We do not believe that any harm will arise from any of the purposes. The primary beneficiaries of the association will be children aged 5-13 years old in Guinea-Bissau. However, other beneficiaries may include children aged 0-5 years old, as the association will bealso working closely with nurseries to facilitate transition into primary schools. Furthermore, professionals that work closely with children in institutions such as schools and orphanages may benefit from trainings that will be provided by the association to facilitate the achievement of our objectives. Finally, local communities in the UK will also benefit from our cultural activities aimed to reduce the cultural gap among communities.

To achieve our purposes and be self-reliant, the Association Bridge of Love (ABL) will be carrying out a variety of social activities across the United Kingdom and Portugal to raise funds. These events include; football tournaments, cultural dinners, etc. The association will also consider other sources of income in order to achieve its purposes
as detailed below. 1. Fundraising, receive donations, grants and sponsorship 2. Use the funds raised and donated to carry out charitable work 3. Cooperate with and support schools, orphanages, hospitals, families and target communities 4. Do anything possible within the law to maximize fund raising to better achieve our goals and objectives. 5. Work closely with local councils in order to access local facilities to carry out events and activities. 6. Work in partnership with all institutions that are rowing in the same direction.
