Public benefits

Q: What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisation's purposes? A: Watchmen Fellowship Centre is a place of love, faith and hope dedicated to the advancement of religion through preaching of the message of hope in Christ Jesus. We bring a message of hope to our world, and provide a platform for the education of the total man that is, the

spirit, soul and body. • We enhance and improve people’s understanding of God, the word of God, Christianity and the life of faith in Christ Jesus. We unravel doubts, bring clarity and understanding to people and simply make Christianity a joyful and beautiful. • We deliver a sound teaching of the word which gives people such clarity of purpose and understanding of God’s love, that it encourages them to embrace the future with hope and courage. • We relieve those in need, and create programmes which alleviate poverty and hardship through a pragmatic approach with people, homeless shelters and community programmes. We advance education and training and promote good health and wellbeing in people of all ages and backgrounds. • We are very focused on creating an atmosphere that encourages love for people irrespective of their backgrounds and ethnic origins. We create an atmosphere that fosters involvement in community and nation building. • We create an enabling environment where everyone is welcome, and help people discover their God given purpose through a sound teaching of the word of God through our church activities and social platforms. • We create an atmosphere of true Christian discipleship and leadership where the teaching of the word brings out the leader and champion in the people. • We strengthen others through the message of faith, and improve people’s lives on a daily basis. We also encourage love and help others around us through good works (good works mean, helping to meet daily necessities where possible and as the trustees sees fit). Q: How are the direct benefits identified demonstrated? A: Attendance is a crucial part to taking advantage of the benefits afforded by Watchmen Fellowship Centre. Individuals are encouraged and reminded via our social platforms and on service days, to attend meetings in order to avail of the many benefits we provide. The benefits are largely demonstrated through regular feedbacks from members, people who attend and avail of the benefits on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. We also regularly get feedbacks on our websites and social platforms where some of our materials are available, on the impact and contributions of Watchmen Fellowship Centre to their lives. The members of the church equally regularly report of the changes that they have noticed in their personal lives. The leadership of Watchmen Fellowship Centre also regularly evaluate and assess the impact of the activities of the church on the public, and looks at areas of improvement. There is no harm arising from our purposes, only benefits. The charity beneficiaries are people of all ages. The trustees have not identified any private benefit.

What your organisation does

Weekly Bible Study: where we teach people the word of God from the bible, and its application to their personal lives both spiritually, mentally and physically. Weekly bible studies provide an environment of relaxation to pray, worship, hear the word of God and have fellowship with other people. Sunday Morning and Evening Services: This creates

an atmosphere of enlightenment through the word of God, a time for mind renewal with the word of God and healing. The word preached on Sundays, creates better citizens because it shows people a healthy identity of who they are, and that encourages people and lift up their spirits. Saturday Evangelism Outreaches: On third Saturdays of the month we go out for outreach. This is an occasion to share our faith with people on the streets, as many as are open for such discussions. We leave out leaflets at doors containing God’s love letters to humans. Coffee mornings: This happens usually on Thursdays between 11am-12pm. It is an atmosphere to chat, relax and have prayer if needed. Women Quarterly Outreaches: This is an outreaches that particularly targets women all over the country. Women come to listen to the word of God, get an uplift, worship, pray, get pampered and have food/chat. Prayer Conference: This happens once in a quarter, and people come and pray for different nations and their troubles and for others. They also get taught the word of God. Word Feast: This is a moment of sharing in the word that happens once in like a quarter to encourage people’s hearts. Love Feast: This is a food outreach that happens in and outside church in parks. People bring food and invite their friends and family for a get together. Food Share: This is a food outreach programme that the church organizes to bless people. Sometimes food is taken to people in their homes. We also have provisions for people who can call in for help in our facility for food and support. We also deliver food products to facilities that require such support.
