Purpose 1: Improved relationships between home and school The benefit which flows from this purpose includes funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. Purpose 2: Advancing the education of pupils in the school The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progress

and attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community Purpose 1 is demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. Purpose 2 is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding No harm arises from either purpose. The benefit is for children at GaelScoil an tSeanchai school. Charity trustees (PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries

PURPOSE - advance the education of the pupils in the schools - by developing relationships, fundraising, receive grants, donations, and providing activities and facilities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. - apply funds to carry out the work of the charity. - co-operate with and support other charities with similar charitable purposes. - do anything which is lawful and necessary to achieve the charity’s purposes. - assist with the promotion of the schools in whatever way we can, so that our children and future generations of children at the school will be benefited and catered for through a range of activities, events and opportunities throughout the year and years to come. - actively promote the development of the Irish language and Irish speaking community in Magherafelt and the surrounding area. - advocate in a voluntary capacity on behalf of the schools if necessary.
