Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include building personal resilience, confidence, self-esteem and developing coping skills for our service users, which will promote social inclusion, integration and access to other mental health support networks. These benefits are demonstrated by our increasing number of continuous attending users
since our operations began in 1985. Evaluations are completed annually, with additional monitoring quarterly and monthly which provide more detail on individual physical and emotional wellbeing. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. The charities beneficiaries are aged 18 and above who have been identified as experiencing feelings of isolation, loneliness and physical or mental health issues. They will reside in the former Antrim Borough area known as Toome, Randalstown, Antrim, Parkgate, Templepatrick and Crumlin. There is further benefit to the friends and family of our service users, who know their loved one is being provided with additional support which has a the effect of ‘caring for the carer’. A private benefit for our Trustee’s and Volunteers comes in the form of gaining supplementary training, developing new skill sets and feeling connected within their own community. These benefits are incidental but necessary to help us achieve our purposes.
