Public benefits

The benefits which flow from the organisations purposes include the development and strengthening each individual's relationship with God through the preaching of the gospel and the teaching of Bible truths as well as providing a moral and ethical framework to live by. This framework coupled with Bible teaching can undoubtedly be considered to

offer benefits to wider society as well as bring contentment and a sense of purpose to each person individually. By offering activities and meetings for all ages but especially to those from birth to 18 years old we get the opportunity to influence and develop children spiritually which in turn we consider to benefit them and their families and as they grow into adults, the church and society at large. We provide space for all the activities listed and most areas have experienced growth. The church is often packed on Sundays by both members and wider public. Sunday School, Parent & Toddler group, Lighthouse meetings and Youth fellowship each provide age appropriate teaching and learning materials as well as social activities which encourage friendship and team building. The online ministry has often exceeded 3000 viewers for one Sunday meeting alone. The church uses social media to advertise all activities, post messages of encouragement and scripture verses and has gained over 7000 online followers using this platform. We do not believe or foresee any harm arising from any of the purposes. Beneficiaries are the church members, those who attend church meetings, participate in church activities and the wider public. What your organisation does

In fulfilling the purposes set out above we equip ourselves to continue steadfastly in our faith, provide space and activities for our own members to participate in as well as reaching out to the community in Gilford and further afield in both spiritual and practical ways. The following information details how we do this and are for the benefit of

both members and the wider public:- We have two Sunday Services (am and pm) Sunday School for ages 4 -16 At least one midweek bible study and prayer meeting Parent and Toddler Group for pre-school ages (weekly) Lighthouse Children's Meeting for ages 4-11 (weekly) Youth Fellowship for ages 11 upwards (varies from weekly/twice weekly) Drop In Ministry for the community where anyone can call into the church café for a chat, counselling, prayer and a hot drink. (Wed & Fri mornings) Ladies Meeting once a month Men's meeting once a month Sunday services are broadcast live on the internet not only for those who are sick/disabled and cannot attend in person but as a method of outreach to the wider community and further afield. 'Handfuls of Purpose' is an outreach work who minister to any who are sick/in hospital/experiencing personal difficulties by offering messages of encouragement and or a small gift tailored to each person specifically as the needs differ. Missionary work is also supported both prayerfully and financially at various stages throughout the year.
