Public benefits

The main benefit of our Club is that isolated older people have a safe and welcoming environment to meet in on a weekly basis. Members have access to all activities Members learn new skills which help with self esteem and confidence Members have an opportunity to meet other like minded people Members have an opportunity to take part in a wide

range of activities including visit new places e.g. Enniskillen and Portstewart It is demonstrated through weekly attendance at the Club. We have a membership of 27 people and weekly attendance is usually around 21 - 23. Members are very vocal in telling committee members about the types of activities they would like to take part in. They help with the planning and delivery of programmes. Members learn and develop new skills and can build on existing knowledge There is no harm arising from any of the purposes Isolated older people aged 50years plus from across the Armaghbreague area No there is no private benefit

What your organisation does

We provide a weekly social opportunity for isolated older people living in the Armaghbreague area. We have a number of volunteers that support the running of our club. We provide a range of activities including: boccia, arts and crafts, sports coaches, educational outings and speakers.

Charitable purposes

The group is established to keep older persons in the Armaghbreague area socially active by the provision of recreational and leisure time activities in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life and to ensure that older persons within the area of benefit maintain a healthy mind and body.
