Public benefits

The Direct Benefits which flow from the purposes to our beneficiaries are: People of all ages are able to access and avail of affordable lessons in Irish music, song and dance in their local area in one venue on the same night. Tuition is offered on 12 different instruments, singing in English and Irish and set dancing, thus promoting Traditional

Irish Culture. Classes are available to all age groups and all levels of ability therefore promoting integration and cooperation within the local community. Sessions and concerts are open to all in the local community therefore resulting in an increased appreciation of local culture. Parents and teenagers are encouraged to volunteer at events. This results in beneficiaries obtaining new skill sets and experiences of how to run different events. Our classes are held in the local Primary School and our Second Sunday Sessions is held in a different local venue every month. Each venue acts as host for the session and provides refreshments. How the Direct Benefits are capable of being demonstrated: Termly questionnaires for students who are attending the classes to obtain feedback on teaching techniques and content of lessons. Annual questionnaire for parents to obtain feedback on the organisation of classes, availability of classes, student engagement and events throughout the year. An annual report on classes and events including comments from our tutors, parent supervisors and teenage volunteers on their experiences throughout the year. This will be presented at the AGM. There is no harm. Beneficiaries are: Children and adults in local area, older generation, other community groups, local school, local churches There is no private benefit.
