The direct benefits that flow from The Glendarragh Quilters’ Guild purposes are that through the collective work undertaken by our guild member’s: persons living within County Fermanagh and surrounding areas expand their love of quilting;quilting techniques are taught, shared between members and new skills are learnt, helping to sustain and
preserve this part of our community’s culture for future generations;activities are provided that give participants opportunities to avail of activities that assist improve their levels social interaction, wellbeing and general quality of life, through accessing activities that would not normally made available to them. The guild trustees also work with their members, other local groups and representative agencies to raise awareness of quilting and the benefits flowing from this are organising and holding activities for our members and wider community. The benefits of the guilds activities are demonstrated by measurement of numbers attending activities, receiving feedback from participants and through some pieces produced by the guild being donated to persons in need. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of The Glendarragh Quilters’ Guild. The beneficiaries of the guild are our members and other persons who attend our activities and those who receive pieces made by guild members living within County Fermanagh and surrounding district. The only private benefit flowing from the guild’s purposes are that The Glendarragh Quilters’ Guild Trustees can participate in all activities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all eligible members of the community can potentially avail of these and benefit.

Clendarragh Quilters’ Guild as an organisation provides opportunities for persons interested in quilting to meet and learn about quilting at our regular meetings, workshops, demonstrations and outings. Our meeting place is the Townhall building located in Ederney County Fermanagh. The pieces created by members are showcased at open days and
events.
