Public benefits

The benefits following from the purpose of NICRE are: 1. Provide public awareness on racism and multiple discrimination through education and training; 2. Provide advocacy, advice and support to Victim of racial discrimination, harassment and racist attacks; 3. Capacity building ethnic minority community through training and participation; 4.

Identify racial inequality through evidence based research or study; 5. Capacity building ethnic minority groups on their rights; and 6. Networking and partnership building on racial equality. These benefits can be demonstrated through the existing work and future work on new funding programme from statutory and private Trust funds. There is no harm on the purposes of NICRE. The beneficiaries of NICRE purposes are people of different racial groups in Northern Ireland. The only private benefit following from NICRE purposes is the training element under the capacity building programme as well as public awareness on racism and multiple discrimination which are incidental and necessary because of organisation’s purposes.

What your organisation does

NICRE is to fulfil the above purposes through: 1. Identify and presenting views on racial equality to statutory, voluntary and community sector; 2. Policy, research and information; 3. Develop and support community infrastructure for people of different racial groups; 4. Capacity building for minority ethnic communities; 5. Racial equality support

services; 6. Advocacy, advice and support on minority ethnic issues; and 7. Alliance building on racial equality.

Charitable purposes

The Charity’s purposes are to promote good race relations and to endeavour the elimination of racial discrimination and the promotion of human rights and racial equality. For the avoidance of doubt, the system of law governing the constitution of the Charity is the law of Northern Ireland.
