What your organisation does

Tempo and District Development Association provides the only neutral local community venue in Tempo and acts as an umbrella group for several other local community groups in the Tempo area. We provide and assist in providing classes, events and outings. We provide pensioners activities to promote learning for pleasure by people no longer in

full-time employment through the continued development of their individual capabilities, competencies, skills and understanding in subjects of educational value. This also includes a lunchtime social gathering. We have a playschool and a Mums & Toddlers group operating on our premises providing day-care facilities for children so as to enable parents to benefit from the objects of the group. Tempo and District Development Association works closely with statutory agencies such as NIHE, NIW, River’s Agency, Local council, PSNI etc and lobbies for improved facilities in the village and surrounding areas. It accesses funding from Fermanagh & Omagh District Council to organise events, festivals etc and takes up all opportunities from funding bodies which will have a benefit to local people. Events and information are posted regularly on our Facebook page and in the community noticeboard of the weekly newspaper.
