What your organisation does

Shining Lights use sport, primarily soccer as a tool to reach out to young people aged 7+. Shining Lights soccer sessions are planned by IFA approved coaches. We run soccer training sessions in schools during school hours and after schools. We run soccer training sessions in the evenings and outdoor soccer matches on Saturdays from September

to May in Ballyclare for children aged 7+. We train and encourage men and women (mainly young men and women) in all areas of soccer coaching, building of character and leadership skills. During the summer months we run soccer, hockey and mixed sports summer camps. The content of our programme involves building of character, encouragement, wellbeing and teamwork. We annually distribute gospel literature to homes in and around the Ballyclare area. The primary aim of our work is the spreading of the Gospel message that God the Father loves us so much that he sent his Son Jesus to die for our sins.
