Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from this organisation fulfilling its purposes include the help and support provided to those from the local area who are marginalised and in need; enabling people to flourish by being part of a church family helping them to grow in health and well-being, helping them to grow in confidence so they can make a positive

contribution to society. The benefits above can be identified by the growing numbers attending the church i.e. the growing church family and the increasing number of people across the city who are being supported and helped through the activities being carried out by this organisation. The trustees do not consider there to be any harm arising from the organisation carrying out its purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are potentially all those who live in the area. A private benefit flowing from this purpose is that gained through the salary being paid to the senior pastor for his pastoral role for the church. The role is necessary to the achievement of the purpose and the amount paid is considered to be reasonable and therefore the private benefit is incidental and necessary.

What your organisation does

Holding social events open to all - bbq's etc. helping to reach out to more people including those who may be lonely or disadvantaged in some way. Carrying out various Compassion Ministries including: - Providing Hope Boxes for women arriving at shelters, often from emergency situations such as a dangerous domestic or trafficking situation and sometimes without any other belongings. (This is carried out through partnering with Foyle Women's Aid.) - 'Food Giveaway' partnering with The Churches Trust collecting non-perishable food items for those in need. - 'Renew' providing practical help to those in need, such as painting walls, tidying gardens helping to release hope to people who are struggling and facing difficulties in their daily lives. - 'Em-Power' providing emergency heating or electricity for families in need.
