Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from this organisation fulfilling its purposes include the help and support provided to those from the local area who are marginalised and in need; enabling people to flourish by being part of a church family helping them to grow in health and well-being, helping them to grow in confidence so they can make a positive
contribution to society. The benefits above can be identified by the growing numbers attending the church i.e. the growing church family and the increasing number of people across the city who are being supported and helped through the activities being carried out by this organisation. The trustees do not consider there to be any harm arising from the organisation carrying out its purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are potentially all those who live in the area. A private benefit flowing from this purpose is that gained through the salary being paid to the senior pastor for his pastoral role for the church. The role is necessary to the achievement of the purpose and the amount paid is considered to be reasonable and therefore the private benefit is incidental and necessary.
