Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from the purpose are the breaking down of isolation stereotypes, sectarianism and discrimination and the improvement of the quality of life, health, fitness of beneficiaries as well as the building of team spirit through the practice of the sports of baseball and softball in Ulster and across Northern Ireland. The

benefits are evidenced through the increasing number of individuals from all backgrounds and abilities using our services. There is a potential harm flowing from the purpose of the organisation in the form of risk to injury; our services involve the provision of facilities, instructed training, tournament and league fixture games, ensuring patrons understand the fundamentals and safety of both sports being played at the appropriate level according to the participants individual abilities. Injuries are rare and the benefits of the service outweighs any risk. Beneficiaries of the Club are those people that wish to play either or both sports in a structured and safe environment in Ulster and across Northern Ireland. There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes of our organization.

promote and further the interest and practice of the sport of baseball and softball in the community by providing facilities and expertise for the practice of the sports and by promoting the improvement of physical fitness and wellbeing of the participants of the sports.
