Public benefits

The direct benefits of Belfast Spiritualist Church is that through our religious philosophy we help others to develop a connection with God so that they feel safe and secure in their lives. People are assured that they are not alone in the world and trust is developed that there is some source to turn to at times of difficulty. Our church helps

people to become more aware about their own spiritual self. We also offer a sense of belonging to a community and provide pastoral care based on individual needs. The direct benefits such as promoting a personal philosophy, a moral framework and encouraging people to be good citizens. In the process our members and visitors become more aware of personal values such compassion, selfless service and friendship. Church members and visitors are also given an opportunity to develop their own personal and spiritual well being. People can also benefit from the services that we provide such as Spiritual Healing, Weddings, Funerals and Naming Ceremonies. These benefits will be evidenced by feedback and reviews from our Church members, visitors and others who take part in our special services. We have a suggestion and review box permanently located within the church. We also encourage feedback and suggestions through our Social Media Facilities and we regularly receive online feedback from people who avail of our services. We also hold Annual General Meetings and extraordinary general meetings to discuss church business and receive members feedback. None Church members, visitors and the general public in Northern Ireland For Church purposes, an incidental and necessary payment is made to a member of the organisation's religious ministry, who officiates at wedding ceremonies. These ceremonies are an important part of our work as we promote our religion to both church members and the wider community. The incidental payment is for necessary expenses to facilitate the provision of these religious purposes.

What your organisation does

Belfast Spiritualist Church carries out its purpose of advancing the religion of Spiritualism by holding Divine Service every Sunday to which the general public is invited to take part in worship. We also provide tuition and education in religious philosophy to everyone and this is delivered by our tutors. The Church organises training classes,

workshops and an extensive library to provide education. We also promote training for the Spiritualist Ministry and our Church Trustees.
