Public benefits
The direct benefits, which flow from our purpose involve the provision of Bible teaching to our congregation, enabling them to continue to progress in their Christian faith, and this is seen in their involvement in the local, community as Members act as good neighbours and help those in need. Our youth work brings young people together, providing
enjoyment and Bible teaching in a safe environment. Ladies’ events provide opportunities for women to meet socially and to learn new skills. The visiting of local care homes provides residents with both social interaction and spiritual encouragement. Financial support for missionary and Christian ministries benefits people both here in Ireland and further afield. The benefits are demonstrated by regular attendance at our services, informal feedback from members and the general public. The appreciation expressed by staff and residents in the Residential homes and the support from the community in sending their children to the events we run. There is no harm arising from any of our purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are its members, adherents, children and teenagers, women, the elderly and the general public in the Castlederg area. Outside our local geographical position Irish and international Christian organisations benefit from our charity's work. The only private benefit flowing from our purposes is related to a Pastor( if in position) and visiting speakers who receive benefits as a result of their work in facilitating our services ; Missionaries or other Christian workers who receive benefits as they carry out Christian outreach and promote the advancement of the Christian faith, locally and internationally. However these are incidental and necessary in order to further our charitable purposes. There are no further private benefits.

Castlederg Baptist Church provides and maintains a building in which to hold our worship services and other Christian events. Services for worship, prayer and Bible teaching are open to anyone regardless of whether or not they are church Members. Sunday School is arranged for the teaching of young children. Youth nights are held for both primary
and secondary aged young people. An annual holiday Bible club is held for a week during the summer months. Ladies’ evenings, visits to residential care homes and organised walks allow us to participate in the life of the community. Prayer is offered on behalf of our members and their families, the community and for those in government. We support, both financially and through prayer, local and international Christian organisations.
