The public benefits that flow from purposes outlined below are for the people of the Greater Drumgath area. The opportunity to be involved in informal learning sessions, the building of skills, capacity, competence and confidence, especially in terms of arts and crafts, the development of new skills whilst reducing social isolation. They also
include the opportunity to attend information sessions on various aspects of health and well-being, the opportunity to participate in, and develop techniques to reduce stress, the opportunity to increase knowledge in healthy lifestyle choices through a range of healthy eating workshops and low impact exercise classes and heightened awareness of services available in the area. Further benefits include an enhanced quality of life and sense of well-being through engagement with and participation in activities, events and outings that bring people together, leading to improvements in physical and emotional well-being, quality of life and a more integrated community, increased opportunities to engage in new activities that bring people together, empower and increase capacity of our community, enhanced opportunities to promote active citizenship. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants, both verbal and through evaluation forms and through attendance levels. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries are the women and older people of the greater Drumgath area. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes.

The group provides a wide and varied diary of activities and events to enable women to access opportunities for social, recreational, learning and development in a flexible and supportive environment to help in the reduction of social isolation and loneliness. Some of the activities we have organised include Health and well-being courses, Tai Chi,
Flower arranging, Health and beauty, Healthy eating, Swimming lessons. We organise a summer day trip and a Christmas meal cross community events for pensioners/carers each year. We have a gardening group, and we also are involved with a project in relation to the upkeep and restoration of a local ancient burial ground. Theatre evenings and day trips are also organised.
