Public benefits

The children return home to parents talking positively about their time at Funky Kids each week. The children learn respect and morals. There are no activities in this area for the children of this age group 4-11 year olds. Our area is under deprived for all children of all age groups, ethnicity , religion, and disabilities. The organisation

provides a service for the community that is not otherwise available. This estate has seen a lot of antisocial behaviour/ The estate has also seen destruction of Community facilities play parks for example. the children are educated and taught to take pride in the area and positive engagement with local groups in the area. We are working and engaging with the Council and other Community groups, charities and businesses. Funky Kids has been established on a parent lead initiative. These benefits are demonstrable through feedback from parents is either via Facebook on our funky kids' workshop Facebook page or in face-to-face meetings at drop off or pick-up times. There is no harm coming from the purposes. Funky kids' beneficiaries are the children and their parents, the children learn through group activities, play, arts and crafts, music, and also learning new skills such as team building and building their confidence and learning and listening to the local Community police such as stranger danger, firework safety, and how to keep safe online. The parents also benefit by having a 2 hour break away by either meeting up for coffee or by going to the local gym or shops plus parents also know their children are getting healthy and nutritious food while the children are away. Also, the children are meeting up with other children of a similar age from other schools within the area and friendships are being made at the same time. There is no private benefit.
