Public benefits
The direct benefit to our beneficiaries is that participants benefit from healthier lifestyles, wellbeing and social inclusion through sport. Our beneficiaries have raised esteem and confidence, improved aerobic capacity and development of physical skills. As a club strive to enhance the health and well-being, relationships and capacity of the
community. Evidence of the Benefits being demonstrated are two training nights (Monday and Thursday) and a match on Saturday for any age group registered in local/regional leagues (weather permitting). The club organises a yearly tournament which attracts teams from the North and sometimes the South of Ireland. This is self-funded (with the aid of a council grant if possible). Funds are re-invested into the club and there is no Private Benefit from this event. This event also raises money to benefit local Charities e.g. ‘Daniels’s Rainbow Fund’. Volunteers are also involved in organising the annual event (Mourne Wall Challenge). This is also an event that is used to raise money for local charities e.g. Daniel’s Rainbow fund & Mourne Mountain Rescue. No harm will arise to our beneficiaries as our Volunteers adhere to and are trained in Child Protection Policies and Procedures. The beneficiaries of our purposes are people living in the Kilkeel area and across Mournes DEA catchment area in South Down. There private benefit for our members is that they are gaining a healthy and active lifestyles together with social inclusion across club activity.
