Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from our purpose are that teachers, other careers guidance professionals, students and parents are able to access careers information, advice and resources which may otherwise be unavailable. Thus teachers and other careers guidance professionals will be more empowered to provide informed careers guidance. Students and

their parents will be more empowered to make enlightened career decisions. The benefits of NISCA’s charitable purpose will be demonstrated through the submission of an annual report and financial accounts to the Charities Commission for NI. Feedback from NISCA members and other Conference attendees will be recorded and evaluated at least once per year. There is no harm arising from the purposes. The beneficiaries of NISCA’s charitable purpose will be : 1. NISCA members, all of whom are careers education and guidance teachers / professionals who are employed by schools and FE Colleges throughout N. Ireland. 2. Members of the NI Careers Service who attend NISCA Conferences. 3. Affiliate members of NISCA who are employed by other organizations which have a careers education or guidance dimension. 4. Students who attend NISCA member schools and colleges. 5. Parents of students who attend NISCA member schools and colleges. NISCA will not discriminate between beneficiaries on the basis of gender, age, ethnic identity, nationality, disability, sexuality, religion or political affiliation. Three trustees are paid to provide technical and administrative services which are essential to provide conferences, coordinate membership and maintain websites thereby achieving the purpose of NISCA.
