Public benefits
Kisakye Ministries exists to provide families living in poverty in rural Uganda with housing, education and arable land to promote lasting self-sustainability. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increase in the number of children completing their education at primary and secondary level and improved health outcomes due to
access to better housing, sanitation and healthcare. Further to this, Kisakye Ministries is committed to providing accessible copies of the Bible to those who may otherwise not be able to access it. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increase in the amount of individuals and communities able to engage with the Bible and an increased knowledge of its content. These benefits will be demonstrated through feedback from individuals and families in our care, regular evaluation of our services and the use of government statistics on levels of children completing their education at primary and secondary level in the area immediately surrounding our location. In Uganda, houses have been constructed for each family currently involved with Kisakye Ministries. Photographic evidence of these buildings is available. Children previously not able to attend school have accessed education and have progressed academically, as evidenced by report cards from local schools. The benefit of the provision of audio Bibles and farmland to grow additional food for impoverished families can be demonstrated through feedback and testimonies from families living in homes provided by Kisakye Ministries. In providing housing, education and access to medical care for families without previous access to acceptable levels of sanitation and healthcare, there is a risk of unintended exposure to diseases such as HIV. This risk is manageable and the benefits outweigh the harm. There is a small risk to trustees or volunteers who travel to Uganda to visit the organisation as they may come into contact with those who are ill. However, this risk is minimised by taking the necessary safety precautions, such as covering all cuts and wounds, having relevant injections prior to travel and avoiding all activities which bring unnecessary risk of contact with bodily fluids. The charity's beneficiaries are families found to be living in poverty in rural Uganda, without access to acceptable levels of education and healthcare. Businesses, local pharmacies, schools and organisations which provide building materials, medicines, education or audio bibles in Uganda benefit from increased trade and exposure as a result of the activities of Kisakye Ministries. Using the same businesses, health centres, local pharmacies and schools will bring a private benefit to these organisations but this is incidental and necessary to the fulfilment of the purposes of the charity.

Kisakye Ministries exists to provide families living in poverty in rural Uganda with housing, education and arable land to promote lasting self-sustainability. To ensure families are given a 'foot-up' rather than a 'hand-out', they are assisted with the long-term provision of a brick house, one-and-a-half acres of farmland and education for each
child. In addition, solar-powered rechargeable audio bibles are provided to each family in the local language, should they choose to accept them.
