Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from purpose 1 include: Spiritual benefit as commonly understood within a Christian Faith. An improved sense of wellbeing for those attending Jinamar Evangelical Church. Promotion of Christian values for the benefit of individuals, as those attending events are encouraged to adopt a moral framework where they are good

citizens. From purpose 2 include:Spiritual, moral and intellectual development of individual beneficiaries through receiving teaching from the Bible. From purpose 3 include: The relief of poverty through the provision of food and clothes banks, meeting the practical needs of those living in poverty within the Jinamar Community. From purpose 4 include: The encouragement and an improved sense of well-being of those who live in the locality of JEC as they participate in the activities organised. The entertainment of children through the provision of activities in a safe environment with a Christian ethos The benefits from purpose 1 are demonstrated through a growth in the maturity of individual Christians in their faith and a growth in the membership of JEC, together with the moral improvement in society as a whole which religion is considered to encourage. From purpose 2 are demonstrated through an increase in the knowledge and understanding of individual beneficiaries of Evangelical Christian beliefs and practices. From purpose 3 are demonstrated through an improvement in the circumstances of individual beneficiaries as basic practical needs, including food and clothing, are met. A general improvement in health and welfare. From purpose 4 are demonstrated through an improvement in community life through the provision of recreational activities to beneficiaries and increased social cohesion. All of the above benefits will be evidenced through feedback from JEC members, their families and the general public within the JEC community area who attend events. We do not anticipate that any harm will flow from any of the above purposes Purpose 1: General Public Purpose 2: Those attending activities and events offered by JEC Purpose 3: Those living in poverty or deprivation within the Jinamar area Purpose 4: Individuals within the Jinamar community who benefit from our church projects. We do not consider there to be any private benefit flowing from any of the above purposes.

What your organisation does

We support Jinamar Evangelical Church (JEC) in Jinamar, Gran Cararia. JEC serve the local population in Jinamar by offering a place to worship God. JEC provide a variety of services and events throughout the year to all ages in the community including: 1. A weekly service of worship each Sunday which is open to the general public. This service

includes regular Bible teaching for adults, and separate age-appropriate Sunday School programmes for children and young people. 2. Regular meeting for Bible study and prayer. 3. Programmes for children and young people which include games, sports, arts & crafts activities, friendship opportunities and spiritual development. 4. A food and clothes bank to assist those in need in the local community. JEC provides a venue for the preaching of the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which has the power to change lives and bring a new sense of purpose and hope to the people of Jinamar irrespective of age, gender, background or culture.
