The benefits which flow from purpose 4(1) include improved mental health, reduction levels of stress and anxiety and a practical approach to emotional well-being. The benefits which flow from purpose 4(2) include the education and awareness of positive mental health within The Lisburn & Castlereagh area. The benefits which flow from purpose 4(3)
include providing the people of Lisburn & Castlereagh area with a safe space when experiencing suicidal thoughts and an opportunity for individuals to meet in a group setting to help eliminate isolation and share positive methods to overcoming life events which have impacted negatively on their mental health. These benefits will be demonstrated through feedback from clients and regular independent evaluation of our services. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries are any person living in The Lisburn & Castlereagh area who is struggling or suffering with their mental health. The beneficiaries are also any person living in The Lisburn & Castlereagh area who has been bereaved by suicide who avail of our services, and any person living in The Lisburn & Castlereagh area who are supporting loved ones with their mental health issues. Our fundraising events are designed to unite The people living within The Lisburn & Castlereagh area in the prevention of suicide, this is incidental to the achievement of the purpose and is necessary to help the charity achieve its purpose.

Emerge Counselling Services offer one to one counselling, befriending, a crisis walk-in facility, a crisis telephone hotline and provide tailored training and workshops to prevent death by suicide, to improve mental health, to educate the people of Lisburn & Castlereagh area in good mental health and suicide prevention.
