Public benefits

The principle purpose of Ballykeel Baptist Church is the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with Biblical principles. The benefits which flow from our purpose are Personal growth in the Christian faith for those who attend our services and meeting, Provision of comfort too those who have been bereaved, Visitation, prayer and

encouragement to those who are sick, elderly or housebound, Provision of Biblical education to children and young people, Interest in, and support for overseas and local Missionaries, and Cooperation with other churches and the work of the Association of Baptist Churches. These benefits manifest themselves in the following ways; The ongoing and regular attendance at our Sunday services, The regular baptismal services for those who wish to be baptised, The interest shown in events which occur, at times, on every other day of the week, The prayerful and financial support for Missionary activity at home and overseas, The numbers of young people who are involved in summer outreach at home and overseas, and The provision of the CD and DVD ministry offered by Ballykeel Baptist Church to those unable to attend. The Trustees are satisfied that carrying out the purpose of Ballykeel Baptist Church will not cause harm to any individual attending the church, or to any member of the wider community. The beneficiaries of Ballykeel Baptist Church are its members, adherents, visitors, the Association of Baptist Churches, and various Missionary Societies. All the services and age-group specific meetings are open to the general public. In order to fulfil the stated purposes, it is our practice that one or More Trustees may be full or part-time employees of Ballykeel Baptist Church. Any stipend or incurred expenses are incidental and necessary to the fulfilment of our stated purposes.

Ballykeel Baptist Church conducts regular services for public worship of God, prayer, Bible Study, preaching and teaching for all age-groups and provides pastoral care to the sick and the elderly of the church through visitation and prayer.

Charitable purposes

Ballykeel Baptist Church acknowledges the headship of Jesus Christ over his Church and it exists to glorify the triune God by maintaining and promoting His worship, both individually and corporately. The principle charitable object of the church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the teaching of scripture, understood in its historical and evangelical sense, the Doctrinal Statement and Baptist principles. Its members devote themselves to the teaching of scripture, breaking of bread, prayer and evangelism.
