Public benefits

Those regularly meeting for worship in Mountpottinger Baptist Church are built up in their faith by the teaching ministry from God’s Word. The time spent together develops a sense of fellowship and caring for one another. Anyone in pastoral need is provided with the care required. We also are involved in helping those in need in other

countries. Mountpottinger Baptist Church demonstrates its benefits by meeting twice each Sunday and once during the week providing opportunities for its members and the wider community to worship God, have fellowship, study God’s Word, pray and reach out to others. We make financial gifts and provide volunteers to assist with projects overseas. There is no harm arising from any of our purposes. Mountpottinger Baptist Church aims to provide its benefits to its members and adherents and to anyone from the local community who wish to visit or associate with us. Additionally we provide help and support to people in other countries by financial giving and provision of resources. Mountpottinger Baptist Church is unaware of any private benefit flowing from its purposes.

Charitable purposes

Purpose The Church acknowledges the headship of Jesus Christ over his Church and exists to glorify the triune God by maintaining and promoting his worship both individually and corporately. Its members devote themselves to the teachings of Scripture, to fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer and evangelism. They commit, with the help of God, to witness to the saving and sustaining power of the Lord Jesus Christ and to work for the extension of His Kingdom. The principal charitable object of the church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the teachings of Scripture, the Doctrinal Statement and Baptist principles.
