Public benefits

The direct benefits are: promotion of diversity and supporting integration of members of Polish community in NI. Also education of the benefits of bilingualism and multiculture. Demonstrated through: "Cooltura" PCC is operating accross NI providing support and assistance but mainily underlining the importance of diversity and integration while

sustaining own heritage and indentity through regular meetings of various projects and special events which are introducing the benefits of bilingualism, multiculture, common grounds in traditions and history. There is no harm from our purposes. The beneficiaries of activities provided by "Cooltura" PCC are children, youth and adults mainly from Polish community but also from other minority ethnic groups living in Northern Ireland also members of local public. "Cooltura" PCC welcomes all interested in our activities parties independently of age, racial/religious/sexual background and abilities/disabilities. There is no private benefit from our purposes.

What your organisation does

"Cooltura" PCC is an umbrella organisation for many regular projects which are addressed to a variety of groups such as: Smyki Playgroup-parent and toddler playgroup 0-5 years old, Child Matters Bilingualism centre-children 5-11 years old. Kameleon Polish Youth organisation-12+ years old, Polish Society Belfast-historical project addressed to

children and adults across communities, Young Storks-children 5-11-learning Polish folk dance, Diamond Youth-Seniors 55+, Full House-aid program. Also "Cooltura" PCC is organising various events and engaging in providing as assistance and support to members of Polish community in Northern Ireland.

Charitable purposes

The Association is established for the relief of poverty of members of the Polish community (hereinafter called the beneficiaries) who are resident in Northern Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "the area of benefit") by providing such persons with free and confidential advice, assistance, representation, counselling, translating and interpreting services in matters such as immigration, education, training and employment, promoting bilingualism and the benefits of diversity by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries and in particular: a) to maintain and manage or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance of a centre or centres in the area of benefit for activities promoted by the association (hereinafter called "the Centre"). b) to promote the benefit of children and young people within the area of benefit through the provision of educational and recreational activities.
