Public benefits
The public benefit flowing from the purpose is the reduction in isolation, improve mental health, and improve the environment. Enhance community Spirit. The benefits can be demonstrated by the footfall that we have at our programmes and events, in terms of the cafe we have increased our numbers. With other programmes we provide evaluation forms
which enables us to see what works and what needs to be changed, and we monitor the numbers attending. In terms of our environmental work we received support and positive feedback from local volunteers and our statutory agencies and there is an evident change within the estate. There could be a risk if someone was injured during the environmental project, however we understand the possible risks complete a risk assessment when required. The beneficiaries are from residents of the Ballykeel 1 Community and surrounding areas. Our community volunteers. If volunteers our supervising a community trip or programme they may be provided with a lunch but the private benefit is incidental.

The organisation carries out its purpose by planning and delivering an annual social programme of activities. We deliver a weekly a community breakfast club, a weekly crocheting classes, training and education programmes, community events, community away days, and environmental projects. We also complete a number of community clean-ups throughout
the year engaging the local residents. Furthermore we also actively attend a range of interagency meetings with our voluntary, community and statutory partners this gives us an opportunity to identify local need, network, develop new programmes and showcase the current work of the group. In order to promote the work of the group we provide regular updates via our community newsletter, face-book and with direct contact with all of our beneficiaries.
