Public benefits
The direct benefit flowing from our purposes is that quality childcare in an after school setting is provided to families within our rural community. The children are cared for by qualified providers and are offered a range of activities of arts and crafts, music and drama, science and technology and physical recreation. The children benefit from
learning to form relationships and learning independence and confidence. They benefit from having a quiet supervised environment in which to complete the homework. The parents benefit by having a local professional project at an affordable cost where their children are being well looked after and cared for by professionals. The benefits can be demonstrated by the numbers who attend the After School Club. Currently the Club accepts children from 5 different schools. Parents are regularly consulted and feedback is taken on the benefits for both themselves and their children. There are inspections by Social Services who ensure that the Club works under their policy and regulations. A quarterly monitoring form is sent to our regular Funder Bright Start. The benefits are also monitored by the management committee. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes of Brocagh After School Club. The Charity's beneficiaries are school children from 5 local primary schools whose parents work and who reside the area of Brocagh and its environs. There is no private benefit except to staff who are paid for their work by the management committee.
