Public benefits

PlayforStrays was established to encourage and develop an awareness of animals in rescue and stray through involving the general public in donating items, usually toys, and becoming part of the animal rescue community without physically having to visit a rescue. The direct benefits that flow from this purpose include providing a service to other

animal charitable groups and welfare organisation’s to reduce their overhead costs, adoptability of their animals and positively impact their outreach into their respective communities. Furthermore, as the adoptability increases, so does the spaces to bring more animals into rescue. This results in local councils reducing their costs to hold animals in public facilities and this reduces the cost to ratepayers. The public will have a positive interaction with a rescue organisation thus increasing empathy, mental well-being and cultural awareness as we donate to many different countries and cultures across the world. Encouragement of compassion and care is advantageous for life improvement and provide beneficial interactions through following their donation on social media platforms. The provision of support to animals owned by those that are homeless, or vulnerably housed, assists those owners mentally and physically. Owners of pets in this section of the community will have reduced stress and anxiety in trying to care for their pet’s basic needs and increased understanding of caring for them. Further beneficiaries include the general public as they would have assisted in the pet’s of the homeless, and ultimately their owners, giving rise to levels of inner happiness, higher-tolerance, and well-being. The purposes of our charity will not lead to harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are the volunteers who distribute the toys to animal shelters and giving them a sense of empowerment, the rescue centre’s who receive the capital donation and vulnerable member’s of society that are having their pet’s being cared for. There is no private benefit.
