Public benefits

The children from the catchment area have access to education in a warm caring environment run by suitable qualified professionals. The children benefit from having such a facility close to their homes. They benefit from the education and recreation provided by the pre-school. The parents benefit from being able to send their children to an

organisation managed by a committee of parents and local people. The community benefits because the facility is in the heart of their community and because it is managed by volunteers the service can be offered at reasonable prices. They are demonstrated by the numbers of children enrolled and the regular feedback which is again on a daily basis as parents collect their children. We also have occasional evaluation sessions where parents are encouraged to have their say in present and future activities. We are also overseen by Social Services whose reports are regular on the running of our group. There is no harm arising from the purposes of this organisation. The beneficiaries are the parents of pre-school children and the children within this category living in the local area. The only private benefit is payment for staff which is necessary for the continuation of the pre-school.
