Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from the organisation's purpose of 'the advancement of citizenship and community development' include the reduction of rural social isolation, the reduction of anti-social behaviour, the improvement of mental health and physical well-being of the inhabitants of Moneyreagh village, wider Rural District and its environs as
well as the building of an integrated community in the area. These benefits are and will continue to be demonstrated through feedback and evaluations gathered from our beneficiaries. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries are the inhabitants of Moneyreagh Village, wider rural District and its evirons including pre-school children, youth, parents and older people without exception to anyone. One private benefit flowing from this purpose is that committee members gain knowledge from attending training. This is incidental and necessary because it helps the organisation run more efficiently. The only other private benefit flowing from our purpose is that gained by a local restaurant, which is partly owned by one of our trustees, who we pay to supply refreshments and facilities for some of our events. This is incidental and necessary as we require such refreshments and facilities to run our events and this is the only restaurant in Moneyreagh who can provide them. Furthermore having enquired about the cost of refreshments from other restaurants outside of Moneyreagh we are satisfied that this is the cheapest option.
