Public benefits
The Trustees believe all of our purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. Purpose 3.1.1- To make donations to help with the advancement of education of disadvantaged children in any part of the world and in particular (but without limitation to the trustees’ powers) the relief of need, hardship, suffering, distress of
underprivileged, deprived and abused children. The direct benefits flowing from this objective are the provision of enhanced knowledge and understanding of young people through receiving an education which they may not otherwise have received. The benefits include providing young people with the basic life skills required such as numeracy and literacy thereby creating a more stable and cohesive society. The benefits identified can be demonstrated through regular evaluation and feedback from the children and their progression through a relevant education system. Purpose 3.1.2- To provide in any part of the world relief for those who by reason of their age, youth, infirmity, disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances are suffering hardship or distress or are otherwise in need. The direct benefits flowing from this objective is that it will relieve the poverty or financial hardship of persons who do not have the resources to provide themselves with the normal necessities of life for one reason or another. This will have a wider influence on the social and economic circumstances within communities and in the societies where the beneficiaries live, which in turn will produce more inclusive, stable and cohesive societies for the future. The benefits can be demonstrated through regular evaluation of the help provided and feedback from the people involved. The efficacy of the programmes and targeting of resources it is proposed will be reported on and considered six monthly. Purpose 3.1.3-To make donations to any charitable institution or foundation in any part of the world for the purposes and furtherance of such institution’s or foundation’s charitable objects of such amount or amounts and in such manner generally as the trustees shall in their absolute discretion determine in each case for the benefit of the public subject to each such charitable institution and/or foundation being charitable in accordance with the relevant local law. The direct benefits flowing from this objective are the increase of funds available to other charitable institutions and charitable foundations with like purposes which will increase the charitable donations of that body available for distribution to individual citizens or communities. The benefits can be demonstrated through regular evaluation and feedback from the charities involved. The intent behind the objective is to recognise that in some areas or geographic locations that other established charities are better suited to deliver on the charity’s objectives. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. Our beneficiaries are: recognised charities and foundations in any part of the world and the beneficiaries of those charities and thereby the wider public; young people seeking to progress and fulfil their educational needs thereby the wider public. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes.
