Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from these purposes are that charitable giving will be brought into the 21st Century reducing the costs of fundraising and increasing funds available for charitable purposes, simplifying the process and increasing the security giving funds to charitable causes both at home and overseas. The reputation of charities will

be enhanced by the additional security and transparency of the fundraising methods used and the better relationships built between charities and their donators/ supporters by the social media platform created. Philanthropy, civic mindedness and especially charitable giving and volunteering will also be encouraged amongst the public at large. The benefits identified will be demonstrated by feed back received from charities, their donors and supporters, surveys and data collected and information published in the annual report and accounts of charity. There is no harm arising from any of these purposes The Charity's beneficiaries are the charities receiving funding and support and their beneficiaries, and also the general public. The charity will employ staff and enter into contracts with service providers but any personal benefit resulting will be incidental and necessary in order for the charity to deliver its charitable purposes.

What your organisation does

Global Donations Foundation (GDF) carries out its purposes by promoting access to technology and infrastructure which provides a cost efficient and effective, secure, and tax efficient means for the public, corporations and their employees to support and make donations to charities, and provides a means for charities to foster ongoing

relationships with their donors and supportors, at no or little cost to the charity. GDF will also promote and raise the profile of philanthropy, volunteering and charitable fundraising, by organising events which recognise individuals who through their efforts serve as an inspiration to others in these regards. GDF will raise funds from its activities, which it will apply for general charitable purposes within the regions in which it operates at the discretion of the charity trustees, with input of local partners and communities.

Charitable purposes

The Company’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following: (a) the promotion of the voluntary sector in particular (but not exclusively) by encouraging and facilitating charitable giving and by assisting in the application of funds for charitable purposes and monitoring the use of such funds; (b) the promotion of the efficiency and effectiveness of charities and the effective use of charitable resources, in particular (but not exclusively) by providing advice to charities and organisations seeking to maximise charitable giving, and providing technology and infrastructure to make it easier to give to charity and to bring extra transparency; and (c) to undertake such other charitable purpose or purposes that are exclusively charitable according to the law of charity as the trustees may from time to time determine.
