Public benefits
To advance the education of all children under school age of Altamuskin, Sixmilecross and its surrounding environs in County Tyrone by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the right of parents / carers to take responsibilities for and to become involved in the activities of the group and to promote the preservation of health of the
children. The direct benefits are we are providing an opportunity for children to learn, develop and grow in a safe, friendly and supporting environment. The children are encouraged to play and share. The children are prepared for school, through the introduction of self care and initial learning experiences. The parents are also benefitting from the training given to their children. We have also found that in rural areas such as ours that it is a chance to reduce isolation for those parents who may otherwise not get to chat to other people and parents. Parents are also encouraged to join the Committee which also helps them feel involved, part of a team and an outlay to talk to other parents about any concerns. To support the vision and values of Early Years. The direct benefit from this purpose is we provide activities and experiences that are planned to meet the children's individual stages of development within the early years foundation. These benefits are evidenced through observations on the children, end of year reports for pre-school children, early years / education board inspections, health service inspections. The parents also are asked to fill in evaluation forms where feedback is given on staff performance and how the children benefit from the playschool. There is also an opportunity for parents to comment on any improvements could be made if required. This year we are also working with Early Years on an additional project called Eager to Learn where parents can become more involved in their childs learning. There will also be evaluation forms with this project to gage feedback so this will be further evidence gathering o the benefits of the playschool. The purposes of our charity are beneficial, not harmful. The Charity's beneficiaries are: 1. Pre and pre-preschool children within the local rural community, giving them a chance to learn, develop and grow within a safe environment. In the Altamuskin area there is currently no public bus service, salted roads, playpark, amenities, sure start facilityor any other pre-pre school provision. 2. Parents and Families - There are 2 Social housing developments on the Altamuskin Road which presently house young families. By providing a service such as our project we aim to improve the quality of service to these young children and their families by giving them a facility to enhance their social and emotional development. It also gives the young parents an opportunity to have a daily opportunity to liaise with others in their community, reducing the risk of feelings of isolation. 3. Local community - we pay rent to the local community centre which is one of their only sources of income. Keeps facility open for all in area. There is no private benefit flowing from our services.
