Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from our purposes are: > by providing a hot three course meal we can be sure that those especially living on their own have a good meal cooked for them at a reasonable price, > by meeting together it is an opportunity to socialise and make new friends thus preventing the feeling of complete insolation, reducing stress

and anxiety and giving them a feeling of independence > When invited guests come to speak on a special topic, this enhances the people’s knowledge on such matters and they have the opportunity to discuss this further with the speaker so they can benefit from it. > As others come to sing members enjoy singing along and when there is a quiz members get really involved thus enhancing their minds and memories. The benefits can be identified by the increase numbers of people attending and becoming members of the club and by the positive feedback we receive from the members and from some of their families. There is no harm arising from any of these purposes. The beneficiaries here are the members of Kells and Connor Senior Citizen’s Luncheon Club. There are no private benefits flowing from any of the purposes.
