The direct benefits flowing from organisation's purposes are: 1) a decreased level of stress and an enhanced feeling of well being of those using our services; 2) an increased awareness among the public of the causes of stress and its management; 3) the provision of an established centre which is used to provide services for those suffering from
stress The benefits from our purposes are demonstrated through: 1) participants’ recovery from the debilitating effect of stress on their lives and their increased participation in the lives of their community; 2) an increased awareness of the causes of stress and its management amongst the public; 3) the large numbers attending centre and benefitting from doing so All the above is demonstrated by the collection of regular feedback from participants, parents and careers in the form of questionnaires, evaluation forms and focus groups and other health professionals. There is no harm arising from any of the above purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are the people in the North West of Ireland and Northern Ireland who suffer from stress generally as well as those affected directly or indirectly by violence. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the above purposes.

CALMS carries out its purposes by raising funds, applying for grants and receiving donations. It applies thses funds to carry out its work, it co-operates with and supports other charities with similar charitable purposes and does anything lawful and necessary to achieve its purposes.
