The direct benefits flowing from purpose 1 The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the creation of an area that has a vibrant Irish speaking population that supports its development through everyday life for the younger generation and adult learners. Therefore establishing a proud bilingual community in which the language and
culture can flourish for the betterment of the community. The organisation endeavours to promote the Irish language through all their activities to ensure it is reinstated as a living language within the area. Carntogher has one of the highest percentages of fluent speakers in Ireland outside the Gaeltacht. The direct benefits flowing from purpose 2 include a higher number of peoples of all ages having opportunities to use their Irish by partaking in activities which support their learning and to use their Irish in everyday life. The direct benefits flowing from purpose 3 include a higher number of children accessing education development through Irish and reaping the benefits of bilingualism. The direct benefits flowing from purpose 4 include a higher number of parents/carers and children accessing support. They will gain confidence, improved self-esteem and benefit from the social interaction as the area which we serve is rural. Furthermore it improves the quality of life for participants and their families. The direct benefits flowing from purpose 5 include an increased knowledge and awareness of the beauty and richness of the language including the meaning of our townlands and other words used in everyday language by all sections of the community. The benefits from purpose 1 are demonstrated through the number of adults and children that participant in activitiesclasses, social events, and other bilingual and cross community events facilitates monitoring of the growth of the Irish language as a living language. The benefits from purpose 2 are demonstrated by the number of adults and children that participate in our Irish-focused activities. The benefits from purpose 3 are demonstrated through the growing numbers attending IME education in the greater County Derry area. The benefits from purpose 4 are demonstrated through the numbers of families participating in our various activities, classes and events; through feedback and the ongoing success of our projects. The benefits from purpose 5 are demonstrated through the numbers of families participating in our activities, classes and events; through feedback and the ongoing success of our projects. There is no harm arising from purpose 1. There is no harm arising from purpose 2. There is no harm arising from purpose 3. There is no harm arising from purpose 4. There is no harm arising from purpose 5. The beneficiaries from purpose 1 are people living in the Carntogher, Maghera and greater County Derry and throughout Ireland. The beneficiaries from purpose 2 are people of all ages living in the Carntogher, Maghera and greater County Derry area. The beneficiaries from purpose 3 are children of school age. The beneficiaries from purpose 4 live mainly within our target area of Maghera/Carntogher but we also parents and families in greater County Derry and beyond and include all members no matter their age, gender, religious belief or ability. The beneficiaries from purpose 5 are people living in the Carntogher, Maghera and greater County Derry and throughout Ireland. Trustees may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

- Run Grúpa Tuistí agus Tachrán - Irish language Parent & Toddler group. - Provide Irish language classes and workshops suitable for parents/carers/grandparents which help them learn Irish they can use in the home with children. - Run Irish language events which are interactive such as storytelling and singing. - Run a Family Fun Day - Produce and
provide promotional material for Irish-medium education. - Produce an annual magazine which is distributed through a local county-wide newspaper. - Produce bilingual products (so far these have included a cookbook , prayer book and calendars and now seeking funding for the design & print and a new learning resource for parents/carers. - Run social media pages and a website for the promotion of Irish-medium education (IME) and in particular giving information on the advantages of IME/bilingualism and on the Irish-medium pre-schools available in rural Derry. All of these activities / classes / resources are available to everyone interested regardless of background,race, religion etc.
