Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from our purposes are: - The advancement of Orthodox Christian faith for the people in Northern Ireland, - The improved wellbeing of its beneficiaries and relief to those in sickness, poverty or disability and to special groups like women and children, - The organisation also meets some

of the cultural needs of the Indian (Keralite), Malayalam speaking minority community living in Northern Ireland, through the provision for religious, educational and cultural activities of special groups like women, youth and children in accordance with the Orthodox Christian faith for the people in Northern Ireland. The benefits can be demonstrated by: 1) Review of annual report of activities, 2) Inspecting our church premises, 3) Attendance registers at Sunday schools and prayer meetings, 4) Review of annual reports, testimonials, and church website, There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are: (a) The people of Northern Ireland (b) The Ethnic minority Keralite (Indian) community, living in Northern Ireland (c) People in India who are homeless, living in poverty or needing medical assistance The only private benefit arising from our purposes is to the vicar who is also Trustee chair. The vicar is remunerated for travel, but this is incidental and necessary to carrying out the purposes.

What your organisation does

a) We maintain and hold regular common worship and prayer in accordance with the ancient traditions of the Indian Orthodox church b) We hold sunday school at church and regular prayer meetings at members houses for religious and educational needs c) We conduct activities to celebrate the keralite (Indian) cultural heritage regularly. d) We use

funds collected to conduct activities to benefit the wider public e.g. providing homeless people with meals, providing help for those in need through volunteering
