What your organisation does

The staff members provide practical assistance to our member groups as well as offering assistance with issues such as benefits, housing, anti-social behaviour and access to statutory services for local people. The Forum represents the people of Kilcooley on a range of steering groups involving statutory partners, local churches and service

providers. These steering groups include: Kilcooley Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership Education sub-group (chair) Health Task Force Early Intervention / Stronger Outcomes for Children Inter-agency Strategic Partnership (chair) Cross Community Work – Kilcooley Community Forum has a strong track record of engagement with groups from the nationalist community in sport, education and mutual understanding. The forum also runs a Community Education Hub providing free access to training and education in partnership with Ulster University and a range of external providers. We are also an OCN accredited training centre

Charitable purposes

Relieve poverty, sickness, support the aged and to promote the benefits of the inhabitants of the Kilcooley district of Bangor and its environs (the area of benefit) without distinction of age, sex, sexual orientation, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
