Kilcooley Allotment Ltd prides a community garden, allotments and other facilities which facilitate recreation and leisure time occupations to improve the life of the inhabitants of Kilcooley estate and its environs. It also raises awareness of the health benefits of taking part in gardening; enhances community development by providing amenities
and resources to community and voluntary groups; it provides social cohesion, religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity; relieves those in need by reason of age, youth, ill-health, disability or other disadvantage; provides opportunities for training and work experience; facilitates programmes to prevent anti-social behaviour The benefits are demonstrated by the numbers of users attending allotments, training sessions and classes and by community feedback through surveys, meetings and conferences There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are the inhabitants of Kilcooley estate and its environs without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion. There are no private benefits flowing from any of the purposes.

Kilcooley Allotments Ltd provides access to community garden, allotments and a horticulture training area for the people of Kilcooley and its environs. Training and practical support is offered by staff and volunteers to support older people, those with disabilities or those with limited practical knowledge to enjoy gardening. Participants also
learn about the benefits of active lifestyles and healthy eating by working alongside other allotment users, volunteers and staff.
