Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from the purposes of Bethesda Grace are as follows: - improved health and wellbeing, giving help to and improving the quality of life for those who suffer with an addiction, substance abuse or other abuses, which in turn will have a positive impact on the sufferer, their families and carers. - the removal of those who

suffer with an addiction, substance abuse or other abuses, from the 'at risk' situations and providing them with a safe environment to live, therefore reducing stress and anxiety for families and carers. - providing adults who are recovering from an addiction with knowledge and understanding of how to live an addiction free life. To encourage them to have a purpose in their life and seek employment and an improved relationship with family and community. - a reduction in anxiety and stress over financial burdens for those recovering from addictions and their families, by providing affordable accommodation for those recovering from addictions and improved relationships with family and community. The Recovery Programme will provide support and guidance for residents to help them transition back into the community. - an improved quality of life for the residents who are recovering from addictions, their families and carer's. The residents will gain an increased level of knowledge and vocational skills to aid in living an addiction free life. Those who are adversely affected by reason of the said addictions will gain an increased level of knowledge of how to cope with and support a recovering addict. - improved health and wellbeing, improved quality of life, improved relationships with family and community, an increased level of knowledge and vocational skills which will enhance chances of employment and independent living when Recovery Programme is completed. These benefits can be demonstrated through: - feedback from patients, their families and carers. We also plan to carry out independent evaluations of our services (*facilities are not currently running yet). - surveys and interviews we intend to carry out on the quality of the accommodation provided to residents (*facilities are not operational yet). - interviews with the recovering adults in addiction, including internal and external assessments. - feedback from and interviews with residents who are recovering from addictions and also those who are adversely affected by their said addictions. - evaluations from organisations who have enabled participation in employment programmes and training schemes. - internal and external assessments and feedback from those recovering from addictions and their families/carer's. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The charity’s beneficiaries are those who are directly affected by addiction, substance abuse or other abuses, those who are residents of our accommodation, their families, carers, the community and employers. There are no private benefits flowing from any of the purposes of Bethesda Grace.

What your organisation does

Bethesda Grace Limited will provide a Christian Residential Addiction Recovery Programme. Every part of our programme is in place to transform a “non-functioning” person into a stable, successful member of society. Entrance to this Residential Recovery Programme will be based on referrals, either by Professional referral or self/family/carer

referral. Bethesda Grace will accept candidates for the Christian Residential Addiction Recovery Programme based on an assessment of candidate that will be carried out from their home in the community.

Charitable purposes

3. OBJECTS 3.1. The Charity’s Objects are specifically restricted to the following: 3.1.1. the advancement of health and saving of lives to raise awareness and promote the prevention, diagnosis, relief, understanding and treatment of addiction, substance abuse or other abuses for the benefit of all those suffering from or who may whether, directly or indirectly in any way, be affected by same and to promote such activities as may lead to a widespread understanding of the nature, causes and effects and incidence of addiction and substance abuse, within a Christian ethos; and 3.1.2. the relief of those in need by providing an affordable residential supported housing unit for those recovering from addictions. The programme offers support to help an individual from drug and alcohol addictions through to an independent drug free life, transitioned back into the community in employment or education;
