Straid Congregational Church aims to benefit members, adherents and the public by spreading the principles of Christianity through public worship, missionary and outreach work. We organise public worship services that are open to everyone. We provide :- a service to dedicate babies, -a weekly support group for parents/carers and their babies,

-ministry to children, young people, women and men, -matrimonial services, -funerals, -counselling and support available for all in the community. Straid Congregational Church organises and provides: -weekly worship services, -facilities for parents/carers and small children, -children and young people's meetings,sporting events and general activities, -programmes for men and women, -counselling and support services on request, -meals for the elderly, -visitation and support for the ill,elderly and house bound, -financial and practical support for people in need around the World. No Members of the church, members of the congregation, children and young people of the local community, elderly folk of the local community, others that we have contact with in different parts of the World. Charitable purposes

The purpose of this church is to glorify God. It seeks to attain this aim through the public worship of God and the preaching of the Scriptures. This purpose is effected through the organisation and support of programmes which promote the presentation of the Christian gospel and Christian discipleship.
