The benefits will be demonstrated by independent evaluation of our work. Feedback from beneficiaries on a regular and ongoing basis. Exit interviews of all beneficiaries. Surveys. Is there any harm arising from any of the purposes? There will be no harm arising from our practical administration of help to vulnerable women and children or any of the above purposes. Who are the beneficiaries? The beneficiaries of Arubah House will be vulnerable women and children only, fleeing or at risk from physical, emotional, mental or sexual abuse situations. Is there any private benefit flowing from any of the purposes? Is it incidental and necessary? Provision of privately owned houses that have been prepared for use as stated above, being used for ministry purposes. Rent is accepted below accepted market value or equivalent.

What your organisation does

As a Christian centred ministry providing emergency short term safe housing/accommodation to At Risk women and children escaping/fleeing or at risk from harm from abuse. Providing ongoing support and training in basic life skills, mentoring and equipping for re-employment. Providing respite to aid recovery from abuse. Providing christian based

teaching and training to bring freedom and healing to those who have been bound by abuse. Prayer ministry. Providing practical help and ongoing support to vulnerable women and children.

Charitable purposes

The Charity’s Objects are specifically restricted to the following: The Charity is established for the relief of poverty and the relief of distress and suffering of women and children who have suffered, are at risk of suffering or are exposed to abuse or domestic violence by the provision of emergency residential accommodation for the benefit of public primarily in Northern Ireland; and To advance the education of the public and of employees of agencies and organisations concerned with domestic abuse through the provision of training courses, seminars, workshop, talks and the dissemination of information and advice. Nothing in the articles shall authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with s.2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
