Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from our organisations purposes will include provision of a range of provision of a range of recreational, social, educational, support, information and advice activities mainly based within The Courthouse Building, Kesh for members of the local community living within the Kesh Village and surrounding district,

providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities and initiatives that assist improve their recreational opportunities, educational attainment, health, social interaction, volunteering opportunities and their conditions of life through accessing facilities, services, support and information that would not normally be made available to them. Benefits of the activities will be demonstrated through quantitative and qualitative feedback from members of the community who will be participating in the extensive range of activities, events and projects undertaken by The Courthouse Kesh Limited. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of The Courthouse Kesh Limited. The beneficiaries are the resident's of Kesh village and its environs. The only private benefit flowing from our purposes are that The Courthouse Kesh Limited members and their families can participate in all activities and avail of facilities, services and support provided. This is incidental and necessary to ensure that all members of the local community within Kesh Village and surrounding district can potentially benefit.

What your organisation does

The organisation plan to carry out its purposes through providing facilities, namely the renovation and up keep of the Courthouse, Kesh for recreation and leisure. The organisation will also facilitate community events and occasions that will tackle social isolation within the kesh and surrounding area. The organisation will also tackle issues

such as addiction through hosting AA meetings, tackle financial issues through running money courses and support those in need through running a local support food bank.

Charitable purposes

The charity’s objects (“Objects”) are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the village of kesh and its environs (the “area of benefit”), without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion, in all or any of the following ways:- (1) Promote community development in the area of benefit by: (i) providing facilities, amenities and support to community, voluntary and sports groups and organisation; (ii) organizing and providing facilities and amenities for recreation and other leisure time occupations for those individuals who have need of such facilities and amenities by reason of their youth, age or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large; (iii) organizing and providing facilities for community events and for initiatives that tackle social isolation (iv) advancing active citizenship and volunteering in the community; (v) fostering a sense of community by facilitating organisations, interest groups and individuals to participate in discovering and preserving local knowledge, encouraging and celebrating a sense of place, civic pride and an appreciation of all aspects of local heritage; (vi) relieving those in need by reason of ill-health, homelessness, financial or other disadvantage; (vii) developing the former courthouse site in Kesh for use as a community facility and resource. (2) Advancing education and training for the public benefit by providing or assisting in the provision of classes, courses and programmes for all ages and abilities. (3) Relieve those in need by reason of ill-health, homelessness, financial or other disadvantage by facilitating access to support, information and advice.
