Public benefits
The direct benefit that flow from the purpose is the promotion of enjoyment and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation, entertainment and developing communication skills both for young and old within the Portaferry and surrounding areas. Benefits are evidenced through increasing numbers of people using our services
and from feedback received. Our service involves the provision of one large hall downstairs which seats 300 people, a small hall upstairs with kitchen which seats 80 and another room for small meetings. The charity’s benefits are provided to those people wanting to hire the centre with intention to hold classes to incorporate the local people. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes whilst hiring the centre.
